Modeling Challenging EMC Problems Using the Method of Moments

چکیده
A variety of numerical techniques are used in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for the numerical analysis of practical problems. The most important are the finitedifference time-domain technique, the finite-element method, the transmission-line-matrix method and the method of moments. All approaches have their strengths and weaknesses and cannot be applied to all kinds of problems with the same degree of efficiency, measured in memory consumption and computation time necessary. In this paper it is shown that the method of moments (MoM) can be applied to a variety of scenarios, each of which would form a challenging problem to all of the mentioned numerical techniques. It is shown that a customization of the MoM to the specific problems at hand can be accomplished. All examples shown have been computed using the academic code CONCEPT-II developed at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH).

Latest Developments in the Method of Moments for an Efficient Numerical Solution of Complicated and Large Scale Emc Problems
This paper discusses some recent extensions to the Method of Moments as implemented in the computer code FEKO, which enhance the capabilities with respect to modelling of large scale practical EMC problems. Amongst the presented extensions are frequency interpolation, iterative solution techniques for massively parallel supercomputers, and some improvements in a current based hybrid technique.

Due to the high frequencies of analog and/or digital signals and a high package density on Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), problems occur concerning re-ection, crosstalk, radiation, and irradiation. New design methods have to consider the analysis of the expected radiation behaviour already during the design{phases of a PCB. If violations of the legal requirements (FCC, CISPR, VDE 0871{B, etc.) c...
متن کاملAn Adaptive-Robust Control Approach for Trajectory Tracking of two 5 DOF Cooperating Robot Manipulators Moving a Rigid Payload
In this paper, a dual system consisting of two 5 DOF (RRRRR) robot manipulators is considered as a cooperative robotic system used to manipulate a rigid payload on a desired trajectory between two desired initial and end positions/orientations. The forward and inverse kinematic problems are first solved for the dual arm system. Then, dynamics of the system and the relations between forces/momen...

Abstract. In this paper a new three-parameter lifetime distribution named “the Exponentialed Lindley-Poisson (E-LP) distribution” has been suggested that it has an increasing, decreasing and invers bathtube hazard rate depending on the parameter values. The (E-LP) distribution has applications in economics, actuarial modeling, reliability modeling, lifetime and queuing problems and biological ...

In this paper a new four-parameter lifetime distribution named “the exponentiated Lomax – Rayleigh (E-LR) distribution” has been suggested that it has an increasing hazard rate for modeling lifetime data. The Lomax distribution has applications in economics, actuarial modelling, reliability modeling, lifetime and queuing problems and biological sciences. In this paper Firstly, the mathematical ...
